COMMEMORATING 50 YEARS OF SERVICE

REDMON FUNERAL HOME COMMEMORATES 50 YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO OUR LOCAL COMMUNITIES

When Bruce and Lou-Ann Redmon founded the Redmon Funeral Home in 1968, they were committed to providing compassionate, professional funeral services to families in Stow-Munroe Falls and surrounding communities. When their younger son, Keith, joined the family business in the 1980s, the legacy of Redmon Funeral Home was firmly secured. Now 50 years since its founding, Redmon Funeral Home still sits on the original site at 3633 Darrow Road in Stow. While the facility has been expanded to provide a comfortable, home-like setting that is handicap-accessible with convenient, ample parking, the Redmons’ commitment to generations of families remains the same.
Together with their caring staff, they’ve helped thousands of families say goodbye to their loved ones with compassion, dignity and respect.
“We are proud of our 50 years of faithful service to Stow, Munroe Falls and neighboring communities,” said Keith Redmon. “We’re honored and humbled that the families of our communities have trusted us, referred us and depended on us for 50 years, and allowed us the privilege of reaching this milestone in our history.”
The Redmons have led the way in supporting those who have experienced the death of a loved one, first with a post-funeral “aftercare” program and then with the establishment of an independent, non-profit grief center in 1997, now known as The GriefCare Place.

Located at 4499 Darrow Road, The GriefCare Place offers support groups, a resource library, community outreach and support, and many other services to address grief and loss for adults, adolescents and children.
While striving to make a difficult situation as easy as possible, the staff of Redmon Funeral Home has also stayed abreast of current trends that best meet the needs of their clients.
Since the 1980s, they’ve offered advance planning services, including inflation-proof funerals. They also offer various cremation services, out-of-town arrangements, and traditional and non-traditional funeral services.
In 1993 the Redmons established “We Light a Candle of Love,” a Christmas remembrance service and holiday tradition that continues today.

As personalized and unique services have become increasingly important, including video tributes that provide a lasting and special way to remember loved ones, Redmon Funeral Home has expanded its technological capabilities to best meet these needs. Through their website, redmonfuneralhome.com, they give families the ability to send flowers online, order food for gatherings after the funeral, and purchase other items to remember and honor loved ones. Additional features of the website include an online funeral planner for making arrangements at any time, as well as resources for funeral planning, legal advice and grief. As they celebrate 50 years in business, the Redmons and their staff remain committed to serving the local community, one family at a time.
