Obituary of Albert Barath
Albert Barath, 89, went home to be with Jesus on December 9, 2009.
Born in Akron, he was a lifetime area resident, a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and retired as a supervisor from Goodyear Aerospace in 1985 after over 35 years of service.
An original Board member of The Akron Youth for Christ and longtime volunteer with Billy Graham Ministries, Mr. Barath was also an active member of The Chapel for over 50 years, where he served as an elder and deacon.
Preceded in death by his wife, Patricia in April of this year; he is survived by his children, Gregory Barath of Middleburg Hts., Randall (Susan) Barath of Akron, Rebecca Barath of Leeds, United Kingdom, Daniel (Jo Elle) Barath of Euclid; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert and Donald (Jean) Barath; sisters, Irene Pico, Thelma Jacob, Viola Stevens, Ruth (Steve) Beres, Eleanor Kovac and Evelyn Konya.
Friends may call Tuesday 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home. Pastor Cyndie Rogers will conduct service Wednesday, 11 a.m. at Victory Life Church, 3833 Hudson Drive in Stow. Burial Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
