Obituary of Robert Elias Cross
STOW- Robert Elias Cross, 80, passed away November 12, 2009 from complications of Parkinson's Disease.
The son of Arlie and Marie Cross of Stow, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps after high school, following in the footsteps of his two brothers. His love of music led him to be selected for the U.S. Marine Band during his nearly five years in the service. He was a plumber by trade and started his own company, Bob Cross Plumbing. He enjoyed golf, woodworking, reading, and gardening and also served for many years as a trustee at Stow Alliance Fellowship.
Robert is survived by his wife of 53 years, Wanda Cross, and his seven daughters: Carolyn (Ron) Wallie; Robin (Tom) Halsey; Jennifer (Steve) Beale; Susan (Greg) Payne; Lisa (Tom) Vogt; Debbie (Bruce) Carpenter; and Laurie (Roger) Wright; his brothers, Edwin (Tanis) Cross and Homer (Jane) Cross; sisters Arleen (Ted) Shuman and Jean Theiss; 25 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The family would like to extend their thanks to all of the medical staff at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital and Summa Hospice for their excellent care.

Memorial services Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 12 noon, at Tallmadge Alliance Church (1155 East Avenue, Tallmadge 44278) with Rev. John Wilson officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service. Private burial was held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tallmadge Alliance Church.
