Obituary of L. Patricia Holley
STOW- L. Patricia (Vargo) Holley, 69, died November 8, 2009.
Born in Barberton and a graduate of Norton High School, she was a Tallmadge resident for 19 years, a Stow resident for 16 years, a member of First Christian Church of Stow and of the Red Hat Society.
During her life she worked at clerical, purchasing, and management positions at various machine shops. Mrs. Holley also was the manager at Akron Civic Theater for several years. Additionally, she volunteered at Weathervane Theater, the Battered Woman's Shelter, and Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital. Preceded in death by her 2nd husband Curtis in 2004, and her 1st husband David (Vargo) in 1982, she is survived by her children Timothy (Carolyn) Vargo, of New Mexico, Terry (Sara) Vargo, and Tamara Vargo; step-children Dawn (Ray) Piper , Robin (Ed) Wagner, and Linda (Todd) Troyer, all of Ohio; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and sister Ruth Mulkins.
Friends may call Friday from 5 until 8 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, where Rev. Jonathan Rumburg will conduct service Saturday at 11 AM. Burial to be at Stow Cemetery. Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, memorials to honor her volunteer work may be made to the Battered Women’s Shelter, 759 W. Market St. Akron 44303.
