Obituary of Doris Yutzy
Doris Yutzy, 72, of Stow passed away July 28, 2014. Born May 3, 1942 in Ravenna to the late John and Stella (Naugle) Yutzy. A graduate of Roosevelt High School and Akron University, Doris was employed by MacTac in Stow and Kremer Realty in Munroe Falls. Doris had many notable life experiences including roller skating at Moon Glo Roller Rink, winning a district roller skating dance championship, being the first woman District Director for the United States Softball Slow-Pitch Association of Northeast Ohio, coaching many children in the Western Reserve YMCA programs as “Coach DoDo”, designing the Munroe Falls city flag and was a lifetime member of the Harley Owners’ Group (HOG). Doris enjoyed riding her Harley, garage sales and traveling. She was an active member of Stow Presbyterian Church, hugged everyone she met and her license plate read “HUGS 2 U”. Doris is survived by sisters Lorena Helmling, Audrey Callebs, Marlene Kuhns, Gladys Yutzy, Susan (Mike) Malyuk and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 4-8 PM, Friday, August 1, 2014 at Redmon Funeral Home. The funeral will take place on Saturday, August 2, 2014, 10 AM, at Stow Presbyterian Church, 4150 Fishcreek Road, Stow, with Dr. David Weyrick officiating. Visitation at the church one hour prior to service. Burial at Grandview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stow Presbyterian Church. All bikers welcome.
