Obituary of John E. Kaster

CUYAHOGA FALLS – John E. Kaster, 91, died peacefully at Cardinal Retirement Village on July 5, 2014.  He served his country in the Army during World War II, earning his degree in X-Ray Technology.  He retired from Akron Children’s Hospital in 1984 with 36 years of service, during which time he was instrumental in the planning of two radiology departments. Preceded in death by his wife Catherine in 1991, John is survived by daughters Linda (Richard) Gates, Shirley Lacy, Sandra Dowler and Karen (William) Knight, 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Friends may call at Redmon Funeral Home on Thursday, July 10th, from 10 to 11 a.m. with the service immediately following.  Interment Rose Hill Burial Park with military honors provided by Charles Faust American Legion Post 281, Cuyahoga Falls.
