Obituary of Carol Jane Osgood

STOW- Carol Jane Osgood, 53, died peacefully in Palliative Care at Summa (City) Hospital surrounded by her loving family on July 3, 2014. Carol was born in Akron on May 20, 1961, the second child of Samuel and Martha (Stone) Osgood. She grew up in Stow, was a 1979 graduate of Stow High School and had been employed for the last several years with Edgepark Medical and previously with Konica for over 20 years.  Carol loved her family and animals.  A lifetime member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church, she actively served as an usher, lector and Sunday school teacher.  Carol is survived by her parents Sam and Martha Osgood of Stow; sisters Teresa (Dale) Hedrick of Stow, Patti (Paul) Trettel of Tallmadge and Valerie (John) Huddleston of Stow; nephews Samuel, Christian, Seth and Benjamin; niece Samantha as well as many cousins, aunt Nancy Kroh and uncle Duane Osgood, her beloved Coffee Girls and many friends.  Rev. Arthur Cubbon will conduct services Wednesday 11 AM at Stephen Lutheran Church, 3725 Kent Road, Stow 44224, where friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM and on Wednesday from10 AM until service time.  Burial will follow at Stow Cemetery.  Should friends desire, memorials may be made to St. Stephen Lutheran Church for their Learning Ministry
