Obituary of Gladys Teeter

STOW - Gladys was born to Walter and Agnes Wrobel on April 13, 1938 in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, and passed away June 30, 2014 in Akron, Ohio. She spent most of her younger years in Hamilton, Ontario, where she worked in the children's department of the Hamilton Public Library.  She earned a B.A. in Psychology at the University of Akron and subsequently earned a Masters in Library Science at Kent State University. Her passion was to introduce children to libraries and reading. For several years, Gladys was a library aide at Echo Hills School in Stow and later, a children's librarian at West Hill Library in the Akron- Summit County system.  She was predeceased by her parents and her brother John Wrobel. Gladys is survived by her three daughters, Laurie (Terry), Kathy (Bruce), and Judy (Peter); six grandchildren, Nate, Megan, Meaghan, Nicole, Brendan, and Kathryn; and her loving husband of fifty-four years, Jim. We deeply regret her passing.  Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for a celebration of life Thursday 6 to 8 PM.
