Obituary of Rosa Gross

Rosa Gross was called home by The Lord on May 31st, 2014.  Born in Akron, she was a lifetime Stow area resident.  She was married to her beloved husband Emil for 71 years.  She and Emil lived fulfilling, active lives, always keeping family and friends close and in their hearts.  Rosa was artistic and saw beauty and wonder in so many things.  At the urging of her son Richard, she began to paint and produced treasured paintings for family and friends.  She stayed creative throughout life, just recently writing a journal for her son David, describing her early life, and working with her daughter-in-law Janet to complete a set of scrapbooks, as always, with her sense of flair evident on the pages.  Rosa and Emil enjoyed traveling, and their ‘special place’ was always  Allegany State Park in New York.   Preceded in death by her husband Emil in 2012, she is survived by her sons David (Janet) of Medina and Richard of Stow; grandchildren Jessica and Nate (Nakia) Bailor; sister Margaret Kuss, sister Ilene Grigsby, brother Henry (Nancy) Jakob; brother Bob (Sandy) France.  Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation  Tuesday 6 to 8 PM, where Pastor Jim Case will conduct service Wednesday 11 AM.   Burial Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.  Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Hospice of Medina County, 5075 Windfall Road, Medina, OH 44256.
