Obituary of Sandra Kaye Nash
Sandra Kaye Nash, 66, passed away peacefully on May 4th after a nine month battle with cancer. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 45 years, Russell Nash. She is also survived by daughter Elizabeth (Brian) Schuett, son Mark (Lesley), three grandchildren, Madeline, Lauren and Andrew Schuett and brothers Larry (Cathy) and David (Pam) Dietsch.
Sandy was born in Findlay, OH on 7/26/1947 to Ralph and Bonnie Dietsch who preceded her in death. Sandy graduated from Findlay College and eventually retired from Stow schools where she served as Registrar and Tech Advisor at Kimpton Middle School. She was instrumental in setting up Stow’s progress book that enables parents to track their child’s progress on the web. Her final months were spent enjoying the holidays and other family traditions. Her kindness, beautiful blue eyes and smile will be missed by all.
A heartfelt thank you to family and friends who supported Sandy (us) throughout the time that she was going through her many cancer treatments and her final days in hospice. Also a special thanks to the Akron General McDowell Cancer Center for all their efforts, kindness and compassion.
Sandy chose cremation. There will be calling hours from 3 to 6 PM this Friday at the Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH. A memorial service will be held this Saturday at the United Methodist Church at 4880 Fishcreek Rd. in Stow, OH with visitation from 10 to 11 AM and a memorial service immediately following. The family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the American Cancer Society, 525 North Broad St., Canfield, OH 44406.
