Obituary of Harold W. Jones
MUNROE FALLS – Harold W. Jones, 80, died May 1, 2014.
Born in Medina, he had lived in Munroe Falls, was a US Marine Corps veteran and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. Harold was an avid bowler, member of Stow Lodge #768 F & AM, the Grange, Stow Sunshiners and Stow Community Church, where he sang in the choir and played the chimes. Harold also had served in the Munroe Falls Auxiliary Police and as a Stow schools crossing guard.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Michaleen; daughters Barbara (Dennis) Triffun, Denise Haboustak, and Elaine (Robert) Balas; grandchildren Stephanie, Michelle, Katelyn, Nicole, Paul, Ryan, Scott, Zach and Logan; sister Deanna (Richard) Gordon and brother Douglas (Kay Ann) Jones.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Sunday 4 to 7 PM, where Stow Lodge #768 F & AM will conduct Masonic services at 6:30 PM. Pastor Jim Case will conduct service Monday 10:30 AM at Stow Community Church, 1567 Pilgrim Drive, Stow 44224. Burial Northlawn Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Charles Faust American Legion Post 281, Cuyahoga Falls. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the church or to the American Cancer Society.
