Obituary of Geraldine M. Ingersoll
STOW - Geraldine (Gerry) M. Ingersoll, 95, died peacefully Tuesday, April 8, 2014, after a brief stay at the Gables of Hudson which she considered her “Resort” and where she quickly made many friends.
She was born September 23, 1918 in Denver, CO. Together with her husband Leonard, they owned and operated Silver Lake Florist for 35 yrs. They retired & resided in Stow for 32 yrs. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church for 59 yrs; past President of Holy Family & IHM Altar & Rosary Society; past President & Board Member of Good Neighbors of Cuyahoga Falls; past Treasurer & Board member of FTD Assoc., member of the Circle of Caring Woman & enjoyed hosting their Seder Meal for 30 yrs at her home in Stow and volunteered at the Soup Kitchen of St. Bernards.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, Leonard of 62 yrs, and their son Bill Ingersoll,
Gerry is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; Tom (Dolores) Ingersoll of Fairlawn and their children Chris (Dave) Pack, Denise (Macadam) Glinn and T.J.; Bill’s children, Julie(Jamie) Hendrix Officer’s (Ret) USMC, Tim (Susannah), Todd (Lucianna), Jene and Peter Ingersoll; John (Yoly) Ingersoll of Akron and their children, Natasha and Alexandra; Chuck (Linda) Ingersoll of Cuyahoga Falls and their children Katie , Brian (Justine); Richard (Carol) Ingersoll of Belle Isle, FL and his children Tiffany, Janie (Brian) Augsburger, Abigale, and Madeline; Jim (Irene) Ingersoll of Winston Salem, NC and their children SGT Jonathan Ingersoll USMC, Matt, and SGT Adam Ingersoll USMC; Betsy (Scott) Meyer of Silver Lake and their children Laura, Natalie, Stephen, and Christopher; David Ingersoll of Stow; 12 great grandchildren; beloved siblings Bob (Wanda) Vigar; Roberta Peterson; sister-in-law, Ceiny Vigar; and many nieces and nephews.
