Obituary of Henrietta Warner
CUYAHOGA FALLS – Henrietta Cook Warner, age 92, of Cuyahoga Falls and formerly of Hudson, died Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Sunrise Assisted Living.
Henrietta was born July 8, 1921 to Herbert E. and Carrie S. Cook in Kent. She married Walter C. Warner on August 23, 1947. Henrietta was a graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School and Oberlin College with a major in French, where she earned membership in the Phi Beta Kappa Society. She was a longtime member of Christ Church Episcopal in Hudson, the Episcopal Church Women, Hudson Handicrafters, the Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames, and Founding Families of Ohio. She was fluent in French and enjoyed gardening and traveling.
Preceded in death by her husband, Walter, and her sister, Eleanor Guernsey, she is survived by daughter Wynne Warner of Silver Lake; son W. Charles (Martha) Warner, Jr. of Wilmette, IL, and grandchildren Elizabeth and Richard.
Brian Suntken will conduct a memorial service Saturday at 11 at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends are invited for visitation Friday 5 to 7 PM and Saturday from 10 AM until service time. Burial Chestnut Hill Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 75 W. Streetsboro St. Ste. 201, Hudson, OH 44236. The family would also like to thank Sunrise Assisted Living and Crossroads Hospice for their loving care for Henrietta.
