Obituary of Todd William Wollenzier
Todd William Wollenzier, 40, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas.
He was born in Akron, Ohio on April 19, 1973. He is survived by his wife, Heather; children, Aidan, Mason and Emerson; his father, Richard Wollenzier and wife, Michele; his mother, Sharon Hitt and husband Bob; brothers, Brian Wollenzier and partner, Mary Ann Citraro, and Brad Wollenzier and wife, Casey and daughter Madison. He is also survived by his in-laws, Lad and Chris Trepal; brother and sister-in-law Mark and Sara Beucler and their children, Adam, Brenna and Ben.
Todd graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High school where he lettered in football and track. He attended Kent State University where he was a member of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. He was then employed as a police officer for Kent State University where he met his wife. Later, he worked as a police officer for the City of Stow, Ohio. He was employed as the Assistant Director for Student Conduct and Community Standards at the University of Texas at San Antonio. In addition, he was working on his master’s degree in Justice Policy. Todd was a longtime fan of Cleveland sports teams, politics, civil rights, electronic gadgetry and never met a cookie that he didn’t like. He was beloved by his children, family, friends, and colleagues for his sense of humor, gentle and kind yet firm nature, and infectious laugh (including his infamous parody of the Muppets Swedish Chef’s ‘Bork, Bork’ and Hans Solo’s first mate Chewbacca’s voice print).
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Mass of the Christian Burial Thursday 10 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery.
