Obituary of Robert M. Reider

STOW – Robert M. Reider, 85, died Feb. 11, 2014.  Born in Akron, he was the son of Gertrude and Marvin E. Reider.  He was a graduate of Greenbriar Military School in Lewisburg, WV and attended Kent State University.  Robert was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War. At the death of his father, he became manager and one of the owners of Reider Mfg. for 30 years and for a short time worked at the Akron Regional Development Board and Howell-Viggers Realty.  Robert was a member of Star Lodge #187, F & AM, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite and was active in the Tadmor Temple Shrine and the Legion of Honor Unit. Preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Nicholas Jordan, he leaves his loving wife Rita; daughter Susan (Mike) Rudolph; son Robert (Barbara) Reider, Jr.; loving granddaughter Elisabeth Jordan; sister Marjorie (George) Mortimer; nephew James (Pauline) Mortimer. Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Friday 4-7 PM where Dr. David Weyrick will conduct funeral services Saturday 11 AM.  Masonic service Friday 7 PM at the funeral home.
