Obituary of Max Axe
Max Axe, 96, died February 4, 2014. Born in Ft. Wayne, IN, he spent most of his working life at Bobbie Brooks, Inc., a company founded by an alumnus of Cleveland’s Jewish Orphan Home, where Max grew up. He served his country in the Army Air Corps in WWII.
Max is survived by daughters Linda Anglin, Marlene Petta and Baila (Dennis) Scott, son Howard (Marsha) Axe, 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. His wife Sally died in 1985.
Hospice of Summa Chaplain Joseph Lee will conduct a memorial service at the Redmon Funeral Home, Saturday at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Summa, 525 East Market St., P.O. Box 2090, Akron, OH 44398-9976.
