Obituary of Rosina Maria Miletti Mazzola
Rosina Maria Miletti Mazzola (nee D’Amico), 93, born in Akron on August 9, 1921, went peacefully home to be with the Lord on January 2, 2015 after a brief illness.
Amazing is the word in our families’ lifetimes most often used when speaking of Rosina, a truly authentic woman who was very caring, protective, and generous. Her family was always her first priority. She became a businesswoman far before women even thought they had the ability, or right to do so. She had her own dance studio teaching ballroom dance (her passion). Later in life she was pivotal in the success of the family’s commercial construction business. She commanded respect and received it. Rosina entertained with an artistic flair and took great pride in making everyone comfortable. The family knows her for her Christmas Eve parties which we anxiously looked forward to. Her boys were the most important two people in her life. Devotion to them gave them the courage and strength to never leave her side in her final days. In addition, she had style and class. She never went anywhere without looking extraordinary.
Preceded in death by her husband John Mazzola, she is survived by her sons Ron Miletti, Ray (Ann) Miletti; brother Joe D’Amico; 13 beautiful grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren (she called them all her “little kittens”) and many nieces and nephews.
Rosina was a faithful member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
