Obituary of James A. McElhiney

James A. “Jim” McElhiney died peacefully on December 15 in Bradenton, Florida.  He was 76. Jim was a lifelong resident of Akron.  He graduated from Buchtel High and the University of Akron.  He was member of Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 219. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, William and Alice (Hottensmith) and his brother, William and sister-in-law Rose Mary.  Jim is survived by the mother of his children, Marilyn Sue, his sons Scott and David, his daughter Cynthia Dvorak (Michael), his beloved grandsons Adam and Ian Dvorak and his best friend, Steve Alkyer. A private memorial will be held.   In lieu of flowers or donations perform a generous act of unsolicited kindness.
