Obituary of Dolores DeMoss
STOW – Dolores M. DeMoss, 91, died September 7, 2013. Born in Akron, she was a Stow resident and member of Holy Family Church since 1954. Mrs. DeMoss had been employed with Goodyear Aircraft during World War II, where she met her husband Forrest. She later was employed with Morgan Adhesives (MacTac) and then retired from Stow City Schools. Following retirement, she and her husband worked alongside one another at The Window Box Florist.
Preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Forrest in 2012, parents Anthony and Catherine (McCafferty) Melcher, and siblings Catherine Royer, Loretta Oliver, Placida Boatwright, George McCarthy, Bernard McCarthy and Betty Sandusky, she is survived by daughters Toni Kenney of Stow, Doretta (Ron) Pamer of Brimfield, Claudia (Tom) Stupi of Jeromesville; grandchildren Sheila, Gregory, Stephanie, Lisa, Erica, Katlin and Annemarie; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and neighbor and best friend for 60 years, Marie Lutz.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Wednesday 4 to 7:30 PM, where rosary service will be held at 7:30 PM. Mass of the Christian Burial Thursday 11 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial Restland Cemetery.
