Obituary of William T. Dailey

MUNROE FALLS- William T. Dailey passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on September 3, 2013. Bill was born October 21, 1943 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. At a young age he moved to Akron, Ohio and was a graduate of Hower Vocational School. Bill was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army and worked at Jo-Ann Fabrics in Hudson, Ohio for 16 years, retiring in 2007. Bill loved fishing, working in his yard, and visiting various casinos. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and being with his wife and best friend of 18 years, Elaine. Bill is survived by his wife Elaine; stepsons Michael Rowan (fiancée Joan), Timothy Rowan (Kathi); grandchildren Abigail, Allyson, Lily, Lacy, Marisa and Zach; sister Almeda Vechik and many nieces, nephews and in-laws. Bill was preceded in death by his father William; mother Mary; brother Daniel; and sisters Laura Edwards and Delores Smith. He will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank all of Bill’s doctors, nurses and the Hospice Care Team from Akron General Hospital. Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Friday from 5 to 8 PM.
