Obituary of Donna Early Tuber
CUYAHOGA FALLS - Donna Early Tuber passed away Saturday July 13, 2013, at the age of 66, after a brave battle with cancer and surrounded by her loving family and close friends. In the loving hands of God, she joined her father and mother, William and Hilda Early and her brother John Early. She is survived by the love of her life, Howard Tuber; her four children Melisse Moore Boyd, W. Tyson Moore (Lindsay), Leonard Tuber (Sigalit); and Kimberly Tuber; her sister Nancy Perkins (Mike), five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Born in Akron, Ohio, she grew up in Stow and resided in Cuyahoga Falls. From a very young age, people were Donna’s passion. A graduate from Ohio University, she founded Providence Personnel Consultants in 1981, a professional recruiting and HR consulting firm. She named the company “Providence” because she believed God had a plan for everybody, a gift for each of us.
Donna’s gift (in addition to speaking seven languages) was giving others the gift of encouragement. To local professional and community organizations, Donna volunteered her time, serving on numerous Boards and Committees for area groups including the Chamber of Commerce, Akron Regional Development Board, Institute for Management Accountants, Sales and Marketing Executives, Great Trail Council, Hattie Larlham, Interfaith Caregivers and the American Red Cross, an organization for which she had volunteered since the age of eight.
Through the Summit County Chapter of the American Red Cross and agencies such as the International Institute and Akron International Friendship, Donna was able to pursue her international interests and focused on helping refugees of war resettle in the Akron area. The first family she helped was a family of seven who arrived in the United States with only one suitcase between them.
For her efforts, Donna received numerous distinguished community and volunteer awards including the Clara Barton Honor Award, the H. Peter Burg Community Leadership Award, and the George H. Bush Point of Light Award.
Revelations 22:12 says “My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done.” Donna believed that the work she did would speak for her.
While her family, friends and those whose lives she touched will miss her dearly, Donna is receiving her reward in heaven.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Thursday 5 to 8 PM. Rev. Dr. David Baker will conduct service Friday 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls 44221. Burial Oakwood Cemetery.
