Obituary of Robert E. Hansford

 Robert E. Hansford of Stow, Ohio died July 10, 2013 at Robinson Memorial Hospital.  Bob was born in Kent, Ohio on January 31, 1927.  A veteran of WWII, Bob served in the U.S. Navy.   Bob was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing cards with friends and family.  A lover of animals, his favorite pastime was taking long rides with his wife, Dorothy as they traveled through the countryside spotting deer.  Bob was a gentle soul, generous and kind and a friend to many.  Bob is survived by his sons, Robert and Richard, brother, Bruce (Nancy) and sister, Janice Argent, granddaughters, Sarah and Meghan (Brian) Doran, step-son, Carl (Karin) Cramer, granddaughter, Amanda and 4 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, his first wife, June, his parents and several brothers.  A memorial service will be held at the Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Rd., Stow, Ohio on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 6 PM (PLEASE NOTE CHANGE IN SERVICE TIME). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Humane Society of Greater Akron.
