Obituary of Ronald O. Armentrout

Ronald Armentrout, 65, went home to be with the Lord July 8, 2013. Born August 13, 1947 to Omar and Bessie Armentrout in Akron, he grew up on a farm in Franklin Township and lived most of his life in the Kent area.  He was the owner of Armentrout Builders and Homecheck, Inc. Ronald enjoyed camping, boating, kite flying, stained glass, MGs and vacationing in the Outer Banks. A special “thank you” to the staff of T-2 Intensive Care at Akron City Hospital and Regency at Barberton Hospital for their care and compassion in Ron’s last weeks. He leaves to mourn him, wife Elizabeth; son Robert (Heidi) and their children Megan and Zachary Hlas; daughter Heather Kraudel and her son Nathaniel Kraudel  (Heather’s fiancé Scott Evans and his son Brendan Evans); brother Nolan Armentrout and sister Louise Fraley. Pastor Lon Snyder  will conduct service Saturday 11 AM at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends may call from 9:30 AM until service time.  Burial Standing  Rock Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kent Lions Club Guide Dog Program.
