Obituary of Mark Swartzwelder
KINGMAN, AZ – Mark L. Swartzwelder, 53, born on March 12, 1960, departed this life peacefully on May 6, 2013.
Born in Akron, Mark was raised in Munroe Falls and attended Stow High School. He moved to Arizona in 1994 and was employed as a mechanic for Lightning Taxi.
Mark loved people and made friends easily. His good natured humor made him a great storyteller. Friends and family would spend hours listening to him reminisce about fishing, hunting, and history. He was an avid reader and knew a little something about everything. One of his favorite things was listening and playing music while barbecuing for all his friends.
Preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Erma Swartzwelder; he is survived by sisters, Cathy Conlon and Lynn Benton (Donnie); sons, Jacob and Andrew, and his longtime companion and soul-mate Carol.
Pastor Jim Case will conduct service Saturday, 12:00pm at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends may call from 10am until service time. Burial Greenlawn Memorial Park. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. Mr. Swartzwelder's video tribute may be viewed here.
