Obituary of Carol Krosnick

Heaven must be excited to have its much missed angel back.  Carol Krosnick decided to head back home May 6, 2013.  Carol was unwaveringly strong, battling stage four breast cancer for 13 years.  And then, when told she only had weeks to live, she proved doctors wrong by living 3 more years, aided by the loving homecare of her devoted husband.  Her stubborn, feisty energy, unique spirit and quirky sense of humor could only be outmatched by her beauty.  She was a looker, and she knew it.  But cancer never diminished her light, even in her most painful hours.  Born Feb 2, 1946 in Lucerne Mines, PA, Carol lived in Akron and graduate from Garfield High School in 1964.  There she met the love of her life Ronald Krosnick and began their love story.  Carol was a lifelong member of Christ the King Church, and most recently St. Eugene Parish.  She was a dedicated homemaker and mother, who was a master at shopping, baking and gardening flowers.  She loved listening to her favorite singer Richard Marx.  But what brought her the most joy was spending time with her family.  Welcoming Carol home are her parents, John and Ann Deskovich, siblings John “Sonny” Deskovich and Sophia Phillips.  She leaves to cherish her memory, loving husband of 48 years Ronald; beloved children Ronald, Christopher (Mary), and Kelly (Aaron); treasured granddaughters Kara, Alycia and Tia; soon-to-be grandsons John, Kyle and Joshua; as well as many adoring relatives and friends.  We will be lost without your beauty, laugh and grace, but look forward to the day we see you again.  We love you Mom.  A very special thanks to Summa Hospice Nurses Aid Specialists Yvonne and Louise for their loving care.  Friends are invited to the Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Thursday from 4 to 8 PM.  Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Friday 10 AM at St. Eugene Catholic Church, 1821 Munroe Falls Ave., Cuyahoga Falls followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Carol's video tribute may be seen here.
