Obituary of Eva J. Black
Eva J. Black, 87, went home to be with the Lord March 25, 2013. She was born January 9, 1926 in Hale, MI; was a longtime resident of the Akron area; and also resided for many years in Canfield, OH. She enjoyed being a homemaker, tending to the needs of her family, knitting, and making craft items. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church of Brimfield.
Preceded in death by her husband Calvin in 2002, two sisters and a brother. She is survived by sister-in-law Iva Dell Black of Zephyrhills, Fl, and by her sons Kurt (Karen) of Akron; Sanford (JoAnn) of Toledo; Bruce (Lori) of Stow; Kevin (Mary Louise) of Milford, OH; Bradford (Mary) of Warren, and Ronn (Tanya) of San Leandro, CA; 29 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and many friends.
Calling hours are Friday, March 29, 6 to 9 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Rd., Stow, OH. Service will be conducted by Rev. Janelle Kurtz, Saturday at 10 AM at Faith United Methodist Church, 1235 Tallmadge Road. Burial in Restland Cemetery.
