Obituary of Mary D. Dianetti
Mary D. Dianetti, 89, was born in Rochester, NY to Stephen and Mary (Calderaro) Dragone on December 26, 1923 and passed away peacefully on March 2, 2013 in Akron surrounded by her family.
Preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Joseph, Mary is survived by son Robert (Angela) Dianetti; grandsons Joseph, James, Philip, and Michael; sisters Annetta Gordon and Frances (Alvin) Briskin and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Mary lived in East Aurora and Lancaster, NY for most of her life. She worked for Fisher-Price Toys in East Aurora for a while and was a homemaker and mother. She was a 51 year breast cancer survivor and took great pride and enjoyment from her activities with Bosom Buddies in Buffalo, NY. She was also a long time active member of the East Aurora Country Club and held leadership positions while a member. She loved golf, playing bridge and pinochle, her grandchildren, and had many, many very close friends over the years whose company she cherished.
The family would like to thank the staff of GreenFields Manor for their excellent and thoughtful services, and also the Acute Palliative Care Unit at Akron City Hospital.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Parish in Stow at 10 AM Thursday March 7. There will also be a graveside service at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rochester, NY at 10 AM Friday, March 8.
Mary has asked that contributions in her name be made to Give Kids the World, 210 S. Bass Rd., Kissimmee, FL 34746, or the Make A Wish Foundation.
