Betty passed away peacefully on March 3, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by husband James Leas, husband Joseph Wrayno, and sister Ruth Ruttledge. She will be greatly missed by her “four girls” Judy (Mark) Vaughan, Bonnie Ballard, Janet (Mike) Swinehart and Billie Leas; grandchildren Kristen, Jim, Jaclyn, Adam, and Nicholas; great-grandchildren Brooklyn, Jordan, John, Addison, and Jack; sister (in-law) and best friend Edith Laughlin; step-children Chuck (Jean) Wrayno, Karen Warren; Joe (Debbie) Wrayno, and Gary (Karen) Wrayno; step-grandchildren Amanda, Jeannine, and Paul; many other relatives and friends; and her beloved cats Mr. Misty and Janey. Special thanks to niece Jamie Flickinger and the staff at the Palliative Care Unit at Akron City Hospital for their loving care and kindness. Betty was selfless, kind, silly, always positive, and never complaining. She always had a kind word and compliment for everyone she encountered. Her true passion was caring for other people. She was a gift to all who knew and loved her. Services will be held on Wednesday, March 6, at 11:30am at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Rd., Stow, with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls. Services to be conducted by Rev. Christopher Ian Chenoweth. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to AutismSpeaks.org in support of great-grandchild John.
