Obituary of Roger V. Gochneaur

Roger V. Gochneaur  July 31, 1942 to Feb 19, 2013 Resided in Stow, Oh born in Warren Ohio, to Alice M. Gochneaur and Vernon G. Gochneaur,  both deceased.  He was a graduate of Kirtland High School in 1960 and attended Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH.  He was married to Patricia (Culp) deceased, who was also the mother of their son, Russell Glen Gochneaur. In 1963 he moved to Aurora, OH where he was employed by the family-owned business Fashion Two Twenty Cosmetics.  In 1968 at 26 years old he became the youngest President of a major corporation in the United States.  He was an active member of the Direct Selling association.  He was also a member of Roller Skating Rinks of America. In 1981, his son Russ was crowned National Champion of Junior American Dance. In 1985 he married Nancy Ogden West who together established and were the founders of SafeNet Security in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Roger is survived by his wife Nancy, his son Russ and his wife Denice of Ankey, IA and their two sons Ryan and Austin.  Also, sister Sandra (Terry) Grandee of Aurora, OH, his brother Gregg (Deidra) of Dallas, TX, nieces and nephews around the United States.   Roger was preceded in death by his sister Candace Gochneaur and grandson Devlin. Roger was extremely proud of his family and all of their success and accomplishments.  He was particularly proud of his two grandsons who are very talented Soccer players, both members of their college soccer teams, Ryan at Michigan State and Austin at Western Illinois University. Roger loved to horseback ride and scuba dive.  He spent his 70’s Birthday scuba diving in the Island of Bonaire.  He loved people and believed in living life to the fullest.  Roger was well respected in the business world and leaves behind family and close friends, that dearly loved him…He will be missed!
