Obituary of John D. Pyper
HUDSON- John D. Pyper, 76, died February 9, 2013.
Born in Kilwinning, Scotland, where he played professional soccer. He immigrated to the U.S.A. in 1958 and became a citizen shortly thereafter. He had lived in Hudson since 1983 and retired as a supervisor from Chrysler in 1991 after 27 years of service . John enjoyed volunteering with Junior Achievement and at nursing homes, but his great love was golfing, scoring a hole-in-one at the age of 70. Mr. Pyper was a bus driver for the Hudson schools and was a member of Christ Community Chapel.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Jean; sons John, Jr. (Judy), David (Sharon) and Andrew (Sharon); grandchildren Joshua, Kayla, David, Gibson, Cody, Bethany, Mary, Brock and Mason; sister Jeanette Cornelius and uncle Gibson Pyper of Irvine, Scotland.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Monday 5 to 8 PM. Pastor Joe Coffey will conduct service Tuesday 11 AM at Christ Community Chapel, 750 W. Streetsboro St. (Rt. 303) in Hudson. Burial at Silver Springs Cemetery.
