Obituary of William LeRoy Lile
CUYAHOGA FALLS - William LeRoy (Lee) Lile went home to be with his Lord on January 24, 2013.
Born in Akron on August 30, 1929, he resided in Cuyahoga Falls for 54 years. He graduated from Kenmore High in 1947, served in the U.S. Army as a cryptologist during the Korean War, attended Hammel-Actual College, and worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber, retiring in 1987 with 32 years of service. A member of The Chapel since 1978, he previously attended Northwest Avenue Church of Christ with his family.
Preceded in death by parents Eugene and Clara Lile, infant daughter Lisa Ann, brother Jesse, and sister Anna, he is survived by his wife, Doris Lee, with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage in 2012; children David Bryan (Kathy), Neil Kevin, Hope Diane Janke (Igor), Mark Alan (Anna), Richard Daryl, and Robert Daniel; grandchildren Amy Carruthers (Brian), Katy Medvetz, Grace, and Tom; brother Jake, and sister Marie Blanc (Ron).
Family and friends will be received Sunday, January 27 from 2 to 6 PM at Redmon Funeral Home; the funeral, with son Mark officiating, will be held on Monday, January 28th at 11 AM in Memorial Chapel at The Chapel, 135 Fir Hill, Akron 44304. Private burial Clinton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Summa, 444 N. Main St., P.O. Box 2090, Akron 44398-6153, The Chapel, Northwest Avenue Church of Christ, 737 Northwest Avenue, Tallmadge 44278, or the charity of one’s choice. With loving thanks to all his caregivers throughout the years, especially sons Richard, Robert, and Neil who gave him extraordinary care in his own home. How we will miss you and your sweet smile.
