Obituary of John Joseph Korpics

HUDSON- John Joseph Korpics (Joe), 51, was called home to be with the Lord December 14, 2012, after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Mr. Korpics was born in Palmerton, Pennsylvania to Maryann (Banholzer) and the late Charles Korpics. He was the loving husband of Diane (Coats) Korpics and devoted father of Megan, Cara, and Mallory and is survived by his brother Jason (Lisa) and sister Gen (John) Privitera. Mr. Korpics was Valedictorian of Valley Central High School Class of 1979 in Montgomery, New York, and received a scholarship to Notre Dame University where he earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. He also received a M.S. in Chem. Eng. at Texas A&M University and a law degree from University of Houston. He worked as an attorney for 22 years beginning with Squire, Sanders, and Dempsey, then Jones Day, and most recently Baker Hostetler. Joe was a past president of the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland. Mr. Korpics served as a volunteer for Christian Communicators of Ohio speech and debate organization. He was an active member of Parkside Church where he served for many years in the Kids of the Kingdom ministry. He has attended Christ Community Chapel for the past 5 years. It was the desire of his heart to follow after the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to communicate God’s love for others through Bible studies, devotions, and the example of his life. Pastor Paul Wides will conduct services Thursday 6 PM at Christ Community Chapel, 750 W. Streetsboro St., Hudson, OH 44236, where friends may call Thursday from 4 PM until service time. Private burial Friday at Markillie Cemetery in Hudson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Destiny Rescue, PO BOX 752, North Webster, IN 46555 or to the Justice and Mercy Fund (to aid with adoptions), c/o Christ Community Chapel.
