Obituary of Bruce L. Riehl

STOW- Bruce L. Riehl, 63, died December 14, 2012. Born in Akron, he was a lifetime Stow resident, attended Cuyahoga Community College, was a US Army Vietnam veteran and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.  An iron worker with Iron Workers Local 17- Cleveland, he was a 39 year member, retired as their business agent and served on the Executing and Examining Boards.  He was a member of Cleveland Building and Construction Trades Council, Tri-County Regional Labor Council AFL-CIO, Tri-County Building Trades and Construction Council and served as a Precinct Committeeman with the Summit County Democratic Party. Bruce was also a member of Portage American Legion Post 496 in Kent and Acker-Moore Memorial Post in Stow.  An avid reader, Bruce also loved being outside and working on his many projects. Preceded in death by his father Clifford, he is survived by his wife Barbara; son Matthew; daughter Nancy (Russell) Bourne; mother Rachel Riehl; sisters Nancy (Paul) Nay and Gail (Tom) Hura. Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Tuesday 4 to 8 PM, where Father Paul Rosing will conduct service Wednesday 10 AM.  Burial Stow Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Haven of Rest.  Bruce's video tribute may be seen here.
