Obituary of Barry L. Parker
Barry L. Parker went home to be with the Lord on November 19, 2014. He was born in Akron, graduated from Mogadore High School and Kent State University. He served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War and was employed by Goodwill Industries. He touched the lives of many and will be missed and dearly remembered.
Barry was preceded in death by his father, Harmon Parker and sister, Susie Danner. He is survived by his wife Penny, son Michael (Denise) Parker, mother Mildred Parker, step-daughter Tara (Dave) Lewis, step-son Jason Haynes, grandchildren Vivian and Kennedy, brother, Charlie (Renee) Parker as well as aunt, Shirley Hoover and a host of nieces and nephews.
To the employees of Goodwill Industries of Akron, Altercare and Great Lakes Caring Hospice, Barry, wife and family will be eternally grateful to you for your concern and care.
Calling hours will be held at Redmon Funeral Home in Stow, Ohio on Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Pastor David Burden will conduct the service at Redmon Funeral Home on Monday, December 1, 2014 at 9 am and interment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice, 1530 W. Market St., Akron, OH 44313.
