Obituary of Louis E. Burns
Louis E. Burns, 76, went home to be with the Lord on November 25, 2012.
Born in Arcola, WV, he moved to Akron in 1968 and retired from Consolidated Freightways in 1994 after 32 years service. Louis enjoyed hunting and golfing and was an active member of FallsCreek Community Church for over 35 years, where he served as bus driver, usher, deacon, trustee, and Sunday school teacher. His laughter and wit will be missed by both family and friends. Louis was also a U.S. Army veteran.
Preceded in death by daughter Jeanette; brothers Harley and Arley; and parents Carl and Leona; he is survived by his wife of 57 years, Charlotte; daughters Janet (Ron) Somerville of Rootstown and Cathy (Tim) Boyle of North Ridgeville; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister Barbara (Phillip) Cooper of WV and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Wednesday 5 to 8 PM. Dr. Michael Thomas will conduct service Thursday 11 AM at FallsCreek Community Church, 149 Northmoreland Ave., Munroe Falls 44262, where friends may call from 10 AM until service time. Burial Northlawn Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Charles Faust American Legion Post # 281. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the FallsCreek Community Church Building Fund.
