Obituary of Elise LaVaughan Jessie

ELYRIA- Elise LaVaughan Jessie, 84, died November 12, 2012. Born in Lawrenceburg, TN, she had lived in Stow for 53 years prior to moving to Elyria 8 years ago. Mrs. Jessie was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Elyria, had served as past president of Missionary Guild, was a former member of O.E.S and Stow Alliance Fellowship, where she taught Bible study for 27 years. Adored by her children and grandchildren, she loved to cook and bake and had a very curious mind and loved learning new things. She had a lovely singing voice and cherished her little Jack Russell dog, Teddy. She had a kind and gentle heart, and her grace and elegance will be missed by all who knew her. Preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Iva (Newman) Faulkner and sisters Edith Garrard and Francine Petty, she is survived by her husband of 66 years Anthony; sons Mark (Jackie) and David (Rosaelena); former daughter-in-law Karen; grandchildren Heather, Darin, Sarah, Jessica, Hannah and Stephen; sisters Sharon Kay Foster and Gayla Dawn Catron; brother Robert Faulkner and many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Thursday 5 to 7 PM, where Pastor W. Keith McKnight will conduct the service Friday at 10 AM. Burial Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.
