Obituary of Brenda Katherine Sabistina

MUNROE FALLS - November 10, 2012 Brenda Katherine Sabistina (nee Kemp), 73, completed the circle of life after a short battle with acute myelogenous leukemia.  Born in Athens (Anderson) Alabama, Brenda and her family moved to Akron where she graduated from Garfield High School in 1957.  Survived by her husband of 53 years, John, they moved to Munroe Falls in 1970 where she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to Brian (Shelley, Chris M., Jonas, Savannah), Laura (Mike, Chris J., Nicholas, Alexander (Krystyn) and John (Joy, Michael, Lacey, Hayley, Aliyah, Jaquelynn).   Preceded in death by her sister Roberta (Robbie) and additionally survived by her sisters Shirley Casper, Mary Kemp and several other nieces and nephews. Always looking for new adventures, Brenda returned to school, completing training as an LPN, finally retiring from Akron City Hospital after 15 years of service in 1995.  She also enjoyed traveling, reading and the occasional trip to the casinos. The Sabistina family would like to thank the James-Mercy Triumphs Bible Study Group from Grace Bible Church in Stow as well as their gracious neighbors, family and friends who helped support and comfort her during her time of need.  Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Friday 5 to 8 PM.  Pastor Jim Brown will conduct service Saturday 1 PM at Grace Bible Church, 2474 Graham Rd. Stow 44224.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the church, attention Pastor Jim Brown.
