Obituary of Rollo R. Lyberger
CUYAHOGA FALLS - Rollo R. Lyberger, 87, died November 9, 2012.
Rollo was born and raised in Cuyahoga Falls. He was a US Army veteran of World War II, fought in both the Battle of the Bulge and the siege at Omaha Beach, and was with the troops liberating Buchenwald concentration camp. A longtime Stow resident, Rollo was involved in many community activities, particularly Stow youth sports. He was a charter member of the Stow Presbyterian Church, a Mason for over 25 years, and owner of Accent Floors.
He was preceded in death by wives Marian and Norma. He is survived by his wife Ruth; sons Dennis (Joanna), John (Song-yo) and Mark (Julie); grandchildren Joseph, Madison, Dana, Justin and Jenna; step-children Rod and Paul Carmer, Sandy Neff and Patti Samples; step-grandchildren Bryan, Todd, Jeff, Billy Joe, Nick, Leighton and Kyley; six step-great-grandchildren and niece Sandy (Chuck)Krueger.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Sunday 5 to 9 PM, where Pastor Wally Kukuk will conduct service Monday 2 PM. Private burial Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
