Obituary of Terry A. Young
STOW-Terry A. Young, 69, died October 31, 2012. Born in Richmond, Virginia, he had retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in 1996 with 31 years of service. He graduated from the University of Mount Union and was a proud alumnus as well as a member of Coventry Akron Lodge #83 and a volunteer for the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad as a Trainman for the Polar Express. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ for 33 years and belonged to DDA Bible Study of Stow United Methodist Church.
He enjoyed 45 wonderful love filled years with and is survived by his wife Diana (Davis). He leaves behind his humor and love of family in his children, Tammy (David) Sacchini, Robb (Beckie), and David (Shannon) Young and was the proud “Grampy” of 10 grandchildren, Abigail, Nicholas, Matthew, Hannah, Nathan, Madeline, Zachary, Joshua David, Joshua Thomas and Olivia. He also leaves behind two sisters, Nancy (Don) Castle and Jane (Chuck) Brubach as well as many nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved. His traveling, rescuing of Greyhounds and hours spent with friends and family was testimony to his joy of life and was thankfully very contagious. He will be dearly missed.
Friends are invited to the Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 10 AM until Noon, where Rev. Scott Hayward will conduct service Wednesday 12:00 Noon.
