Obituary of Forrest DeMoss
STOW - Forrest A. DeMoss, 91, died October 30, 2012.
Born in Thornton, WV, he was a graduate of the West Virginia School for the Deaf in Romney, WV and a Stow resident since 1954. Mr. DeMoss was employed with Goodyear Aircraft during World War II building de-icers for B-52 bombers. He later was employed with Hamlin Metals and then retired as a carpenter from the Stow City Schools after 32 years service. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church since 1954 and had been active with the Catholic Deaf Association of Akron.
Preceded in death by his parents James and Violet (Moone) DeMoss, he is survived by his wife of 68 years Dolores, who he married in Akron in 1944; daughters Toni Kenney of Stow, Doretta (Ron) Pamer of Brimfield, Claudia (Tom) Stupi of Jeromesville; grandchildren Sheila, Gregory, Stephanie, Lisa, Erica, Katlin and Annemarie; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation TONIGHT (Thursday) 4 to 7:30 PM, where a time of sharing stories and remembrances will be held at 7:30 PM. Mass of the Christian Burial Friday 1 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church
