Obituary of Robert L. Blohm

STOW- Robert L. Blohm, Jr., 56, died September 28, 2012. Bob was born in Akron, graduated from Kenmore High School and received his masters degree from the University of Akron. He lived in Stow for 26 years, and retired from the State of Ohio in 2011 after 32 years service. Bob was involved in BITOA Ski Club and coached youth basketball and soccer. He was a lifelong Ohio State Buckeyes fan and longtime Browns season ticket holder. He was an avid reader and never missed the opportunity to make someone laugh. He was extremely fond of movies and especially liked to go to the drive-in. Preceded in death by his father Robert Blohm, Sr.,and his mother Nanette Blohm. He is survived by his wife of 26 years Susan; daughter Heather; sons Alex and Chris; sisters Patsy (Gary) Kormendy, Vicky (Tim Flenniken) Blohm and brother-in-law Jeff (Marianne) Swan. Nieces Julie, Kelsey,and Colleen, nephews Scott, Dan, and James. He will lovingly be missed by his dog Molly. Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Monday 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM, where service will be held Tuesday 11 AM. Robert’s video tribute may be seen here.
