Obituary of James J. Homeier
James J. Homeier, 81 passed away September 11, 2012.
James was born August 26, 1931 in Akron, Ohio, the son of Anna (Wein) and Claude Homeier. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary Frances (Mimi), his parents, brother William and sister Kathryn. He is survived by his children, Kathleen (Steve) Wilkins; Tom (Linda) Homeier; Eileen (Norman) Heigelmann; Jackie (Jon) Chester ; grandchildren, Jimmy W., Jimmy H., Greg, Sarah, Ryan, Zachary, Kaley, Mary Claire; sister, Jane Cook; many nieces and nephews; and special friends Chris and Susan Steiner and Mary Marmaduke.
James worked in the grocery and wholesale food business as a buyer/merchandiser. He began as a stock boy for Fred W. Albrecht Co. (Acme), working his way up to become the Vice President of Marketing for Consolidated Foods Corporation (Lawson’s Milk Co.). He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Stow.

Friends are invited to the Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Friday, September 14 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 15 at 9:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, Route 59, Stow, Ohio. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.
