Obituary of Melba L. Sell
Melba L. Sell, 97, went home to be with the Lord on August 27, 2012.
Melba was born in Mississippi on April 13, 1915 to Junius Montgomery and Nora Ward and was a longtime resident of Cuyahoga Falls, residing in Stow the last ten years. She was a member of The Chapel in Akron.
She was preceded in the death by her loving husband of 59 years, Harold; brothers A.J. Ward and J. M. Ward; sisters Erma Wilson, Alta Cole, Juanita Mazzo, and Sue Cole. She is survived by daughters, Nancy (Joseph) DeMichele of Fairfield, Connecticut, Suzanne (James) Turle of Stow, Ohio; son Phillip (Judy) Sell of Wildwood, Illinois; sisters-in-law, Elvira Sallach of Columbus, Ohio, Idell Ward of Tupelo, Mississippi and Edna Ward of Mathiston, Mississippi and many nieces and nephews. Her memory will live on through her grandchildren Kristen Digman of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Kara Turle and fiancé Ray Gauger of Canton, Michigan, Adam Sell of Wildwood, Illinois, and Emily Sell of Highwood, Illinois.
Melba’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to her caregivers Debbie and Emma and the staff of Crossroads Hospice.
Funeral service will be held Friday 11 AM at Redmon Funeral Home. Private burial Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Melba’s name to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Drive, Green, OH 44685.
