Obituary of Roger J. Lindway
CUYAHOGA FALLS – Roger J. Lindway, born June 14, 1921, died July 17, 2012 and greatly enjoyed his 91st birthday.
Predeceased by his daughters, Cheryl, Bonnie and Cynthia and brother Russell, he is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Eleanor (Hyduke).
Born in Cleveland, he lived his early childhood in Rochester, PA then reached adulthood, marriage and fatherhood in Cleveland. Moved to Cuyahoga Falls in 1953, where he had his own business, Precision Plating Co., for fifty years. Started on the present site of the city parking lot across from the Sheraton, it moved to Akron in 1971. He was a charter member of Silver Lake Country Club. His quick wit and encyclopedic joke cache will be sorely missed.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Friday 5 to 8 PM. Private burial at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
