Obituary of Shirley Mae Duffy
CUYAHOGA FALLS – Shirley Mae Duffy, 81, died May 18, 2012
Born in Altoona, PA, Shirley Duffy lived most of her life in Northeast Ohio, most recently in Cuyahoga Falls. Mrs. Duffy retired as a Regional Manager at Stanley Home Products, was a building manager on Lakewood’s Gold Coast, a renowned pie maker, and an avid dancer.
Preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Richard, 3 brothers and 2 sisters, she is survived by brother Donald (Joan) Daugherty of Hudson, sister Mary (Vernon) Gray of Arizona; children Karan (Jack) Gross of Washington, Sandra (Paul) Utrata of Dublin, Richard Jr.(Chris) of Texas, Eva (Tomas) of Colorado, Theodore (Carmen) of Aurora, Timothy (Susan) of Arkansas; 14 grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and good friends.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home in Stow for visitation Tuesday 5 to 7 PM, memorial service at 7 PM. Inurnment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VFW Post 1079, 500 South Abbe Road, Elyria Oh, 44035.
