Obituary of Marylee L. Morgan

STOW- Marylee L. Morgan, 83, died April 20, 2012. Born in Berea, she was a 1946 graduate of Stow High School and longtime active member of the Stow community. Mrs. Morgan served as a Girl Scout leader and coordinator of Day Camp at Adell Durbin Park, Cub Scouts Den Mother, voting booth volunteer, and as an employee and volunteer at Stow Public Library. In 1990, Mrs. Morgan was chosen as a Marshal in the Stow Fourth of July Parade. Known as the “original apple butter person”, she was a life member of the Stow Historical Society and organized the third grade school tours. She was a member of Stow Woman’s Club and Junior Mother’s Club. As a committee member of an Explorer Post, she hiked at Philmont. Preceded in death by her parents P.V. and Wilma Risinger, she is survived by her husband of over 63 years, Houston; children Marianne (Fred) Johnson, Houston (Sandra) Morgan, Jr., Margaret (Bill) Ramsey, Meredith (Dave Herbster) Morgan, Marilyn Hunter and Howard (Liz) Morgan; grandchildren David (Eleanore) Ramsey, Alan (Lauren) Ramsey, Benjamin (Allison) Delaney, Ana Hunter; great-grandchildren Eve and Willa Ramsey, Ireland and Jeremiah Delaney; sister Annabel Gartner and her family: Craig Stiles and his daughter Christina, Sister Denise Stiles, CSA and Betty (Carl) Miller and their son Tim Owens. Friends are invited for visitation Wednesday 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, and where Dr. David Weyrick will conduct service Wednesday at 7 PM. Private interment Crown Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor’s favorite charity, the Stow Historical Society, P.O. Box 1425, Stow 44224 or to the Boy Scouts of America, Great Trail Council, 1601 S.
