Obituary of Victor M. Hardy

Victor M. Hardy, 74, died April 15, 2012. Born in Akron, he was a lifetime area resident and a US Army veteran. Vic had been employed with Helbig Construction Co. prior to owning and operating his own excavating company. Preceded in death by his parents Millard and Bertha Hardy, step-daughter Laurie Bookman and brother Harry, he is survived by his step-son Robert (Roxane) Knotts of Clinton; step-daughter Joyce (Gary) Heibertshausen of Montana; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and brothers Edward (Linda) and Ronald (Margaret) Hardy. A special thank you from the family to Judy Hoover in Springfield for providing excellent care in her home for Vic. Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Tuesday 6 to 8 PM.  Pastor Jeff Hinkle will conduct service Wednesday 10 AM  at Stow Cemetery, with military honors provided by Charles Faust American Legion Post 281.
