Obituary of Kenneth F. Burris

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Kenneth F. Burris, 83, died April 9, 2012. Born in Akron, he lived most of his life in Cuyahoga Falls, was a US Navy veteran and retired from the M. O’Neil Co. Mr. Burris was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society. An avid collector of model trains, he was also a member of Akron Steam Tours and Midwest Steam Tours. Preceded in death by his wife of 43 years Julia, parents Arthur and Lillian Burris, brothers Leroy and Walter, grandson Brian Burris and son-in-law Tony Raggi, he is survived by children Lillian (Tom) Laubacher, Larry (Marianne), Anne Raggi, David (Kathy), Paul; grandchildren Michael, Jean, Becky, Jason, Joshua, Elizabeth and Noelle; great-grandchildren Melissa and Matthew and great-great-granddaughter Ella; brothers Paul (Priscilla) and Ralph (Belva). The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to good friends and caregivers Rose and Michelle, the nurses and doctors of Summa Western Reserve Hospital, especially Dr. Hines and also to the doctors and nurses of Summa Hospice Care. Friends are invited to the Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Mass of the Christian Burial Thursday 11 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial Northlawn Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the United States Navy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Summa, 525 E. Market Street, P.O.
