Obituary of Loretta Bolognue
PENINSULA – Loretta Bolognue, 71, died March 21, 2012 after a long battle with dementia.
She was born in Blue Ridge , Georgia , and was a resident of Peninsula and Cuyahoga Falls the majority of her life.
She will always be in the memories of her husband of 40 years, Joe; daughter Shelley (Keith) Hofer; son Brian Stickel; grandchildren Benjamin Stickel, Marie Hofer and Anna Hofer; sister Bettye (John) Carpenter; brother Bill Thomas and many loving family members, friends and loyal dog Mini.
Loretta loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally. She had a love for shopping which she constantly used to spoil her grandchildren. She loved flowers and gardening, so much so, that she was a floral designer later in life. Prior to that she enjoyed her job in credit at Montgomery Ward and O’Neil’s. She and Joe enjoyed traveling with family and friends, especially to Naples , Florida .
Loretta loved Joe wholeheartedly, even towards the end when most signs of recognition were gone. She still lit up when he walked into a room. She was happiest when they were together.
