Obituary of Kymberlea Renee Calco

Born February 3, 1959, Kymberlea Renee Calco went to her Savior’s arms February 1, 2012. A life-long learner with a passion for education, Kym taught at CVCA for ten years before becoming the high school principal at Lake Center Christian School in 2008.  Prior to her teaching career, she worked in the Stow Police Department Juvenile Corrections Division and Detective Bureau and then ran a successful Jazzercise franchise. Preceded in death by her father Charles Korb, Kym leaves her mother Fay Korb of Stow; husband of 31 years, James; daughters: Lauren Hammond (Michael) of Virginia, Alana Calco-Nolte (Michael) of Indiana, and Leah Calco of Toledo; brother, Charles Korb; sister, Rebecca McAnally; granddaughter, Hayley Madison Hammond; nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Sunday from 1 to 5 PM.  Pastor John Kitchen will conduct service Monday 10 AM at Stow Alliance Fellowship, 4460 Stow Road, Stow.  Interment Stow Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, Kym’s wish was for donations to be made to the Lake Center Christian School Scholarship Fund, 12893 Kaufman Ave. NW, Hartville, OH  44632.  Mrs. Calco's video tribute may be seen here.
